Rupture isn't slow. It is slower than the Stabber but is still faster than most combat cruisers out there. Just like its bigger brother the Hurricane, the Rupture can generally outrun anything it can't outfight. With a double damage bonus, decent skills and good piloting, it will rip frigs and T1 cruisers to shreds, give inexperienced BC pilots a nasty surprise, and leave everything else in the dust.

Originally by: Neena Valdi Rupture can't outrun unless its fitted for speed and even then rupture speed nor agility aint as good as stabbers. 1600 plate rupture is almost as slow as not plated myrmidon.
An OD is standard equipment on all my Ruppy fits. I prefer to range/speed tank. I keep my enemies webbed at 9km and let the AC's work their magic. If I have any problems, I can still get out and escape. My lows are geared toward speed, damage, and a light armor tank - OD, gyro, EANM, MAR. I find this arrangement to be most effective for my style of fighting.

So what? That's an empty argument. That is the same as saying the first enemy who is [insert specific counter to your setup here] will be your last. There is always something that will kill your ship and you can't fit for every possible scenario. The point is to fit your ship in a way that is most effective for you.
Furthermore, your argument fails on the merits as well. How many T1 cruisers or frigs go around packing two webs and still enough speed/tank/gank to defeat a Rupture? Please give me a sample set-up.

The stabber can take down even some battlecruisers, while you as your targets only see mere t1 cruisers and frigates? ;)
No. You missed my point. If you read back a little, you will notice that the whole double web argument rests on my tactic of keeping targets webbed at 9km. T1 cruisers and frigates are the only ships that I would be using the 9km tactic against because those ships would most likely not have a double web or if they did, they would be so gimped as to be either defeated or evaded.
I don't get into webrange of anything bigger then a T1 cruiser, so I don't care how many webs they're packing - I fight in deep fall-off - more like a stabber. But I don't need to be as fast as a Stabber. I just need to be faster than anything I can't outfight. Any ship my size or smaller packing double webs I could probably just destroy quite quickly. And any ship bigger than me packing double webs will not get a chance to use them unless I do something very stupid. The problem with doing stupid things though is that once you do them, you usually die regardless of how good your fit is. So I would rather be stupid in my "Slower Than a Stabber but Faster than Any Real Threat" Rupture than anything else.
